Hot Wheels Video Racer [Toy Fair 2011]

It’s always fun when traditional toys get high tech updates. That’s the case this year at Toy Fair with the Hot Wheels brand. Kids will soon be able to take a traditional 1:64 scale Hot Wheels car on new adventures, thanks to an internal video camera. Kids can record their car’s trips on tracks, down the hallway or whatever other course they traverse with the Video Racer.

UNO Roboto [Toy Fair 2011]

The classic card game UNO gets a new incarnation at Toy Fair this year. UNO Roboto is managed by a robot master that integrates with the players by recording each person’s name at the start of the game, issuing commands by name. Roboto also causes gameplay changes throughout by forcing players to switch cards and can even include house rules.

Matchbox Smokey The Fire Truck [Toy Fair 2011]

Matchbox is continuing to add onto their interactive truck series which debuted with Rocky two years ago and Stinky the Garbage Truck last year. Smokey is of course a fire truck and carries on the tradition of providing kids with fun vocals and robotic action movements. He also adds a new feature, a “water canon” that shoots small blue cannon balls to put out fires.

Disney Shows off 300 Toys for Cars 2 [Toy Fair 2011]

Yes, that’s 300 toys around the upcoming Disney-Pixar Cars 2 movie! We had the opportunity to see the toys in action, there are several fun tech toys ranging from remote control cars to the autonomous Lightning McQueen Alive, which is the size of a typical die cast car. Overall it was a super event with guest appearances from Michael Caine (Finn McMissile) and Emily Mortimer (Holley Shiftwell). But we’re here for the toys, here’s the breakdown of what your kids are going to be asking for when Cars 2 hits theaters June 24th.

Mattel Angry Birds Knock On Wood [Toy Fair 2011]
