Tonka has an updated series of tech toys geared around their signature character for little kids, Chuck. The Chuck line is highlighted by the Race Along Chuck vehicle – which interacts with preschoolers in fun ways, including offering active play games like tag. Flip the Bounce Back Racer vehicle gives kids a fun way to start into the world of RC cars.

Monopoly Live and Battleship Live Games [Toy Fair 2011]

Hasbro has a refreshed version of Monopoly and Battleship that put an interesting twist on the classic games. Both rely on an all seeing tower that sits in the middle of the game board. With its motion vision play technology, the tower does everything from manage the game to issue rules. The Live series of games are set up and ready to play in minutes, and in the case of Monopoly, there’s no longer a need for the bank, managing auctions or even keeping an eye on cheaters, the tower manages it all. Battleship gives up the old school peg board and ads several new gaming elements like a spy plane and missile attacks.

Hasbro Ji Ga Zo Sepia Puzzle [Toy Fair 2011]

Put this little gem from Hasbro in the totally unexpected category. While we always expect to see a series of games, several with tech advances, from Hasbro, the Ji Ga Zo Sepia puzzle is completely new and very cool. Kids use the included software to print a puzzle code. Using the 300 Ji Ga Zo puzzle pieces, they then assemble the puzzle upside down. Flip it over and the result is an awesome Sepia-colored portrait.

Simon Flash [Toy Fair 2011]

Hasbro has re-imagined the 80′s classic game Simon with their new modernized electronic version – Simon Flash. Simon Flash has several game modes, all keyed off the four light up blocks that kids, and adults, can move around to get the in the proper order.

Nerf N-Strike Blasters Released [Toy Fair 2011]

Nerf was showing off their entire line of new blasters this year, complete with several that are motorized, giving kids automatic rapid fire action. The automatic blaster line is headlined by the Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS Blaster, which is the first fully automatic blaster compatible with the Nerf Clip System.

Disney Shows off 300 Toys for Cars 2 [Toy Fair 2011]

Yes, that’s 300 toys around the upcoming Disney-Pixar Cars 2 movie! We had the opportunity to see the toys in action, there are several fun tech toys ranging from remote control cars to the autonomous Lightning McQueen Alive, which is the size of a typical die cast car. Overall it was a super event with guest appearances from Michael Caine (Finn McMissile) and Emily Mortimer (Holley Shiftwell). But we’re here for the toys, here’s the breakdown of what your kids are going to be asking for when Cars 2 hits theaters June 24th.
