New From Gund [Toy Fair 2011]

Written on Feb 21, 2011 by RuthJS and filed under Gund, News

Soft toy powerhouse Gund is announcing three new tech plush toys for 2011: Peek-a-Boo Bear, Gridiron Fanatic, and Roaring Rex Dinosaur. All three toys are intended for children three and up, each will retail for around $40, and all come with the batteries required to run them.

Peek-a-Boo Bear

Tired of playing peek-a-boo? Well, this guy isn’t! We saw this little guy at Toy Fair, and he truly is adorable. Press his paw, and Peek-a-Boo bear will raise his blanket, lower it and say “Peek-a-boo. I see you!” as he moves his mouth.  He will be available for purchase in March.

Gridiron Fanatic

Need a friend with whom to share the game? Well, this guy hoots, hollers, and gives advice with the best of them. He may be plush, but he knows when to cheer or boo if you press his foot. We thought it was funny when he started shouting, “Tackle somebody! Anybody!” in the middle of Toy Fair, though we weren’t sure we believed it when he said, “Bears have an amazing sense of smell, and I smell a TOUCHDOWN!” But hey, who could bet against an adorable pal like this? He even has his own jersey, gloves and ball, and he will debut with the new recruits in fall 2011.

Roaring Rex Dinosaur

While we didn’t get to see Roaring Rex at Toy Fair, we are assured that he’ll be a crowd pleaser with his silly jokes and goofy personality. He’ll be out in April.
