Nerf N-Strike Blasters Released [Toy Fair 2011]

Written on Feb 18, 2011 by Brian and filed under Hasbro, Nerf

Nerf was showing off their entire line of new blasters this year, complete with several that are motorized, giving kids automatic rapid fire action. The automatic blaster line is headlined by the Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS Blaster, which is the first fully automatic blaster compatible with the Nerf Clip System.

The Stampede ECS features a pop-out bipod, which doubles as a handle, and a removable shield. Included is a six dart clip and three extended clips that hold 18 darts each, which is the highest capacity Nerf clip to date.

For something a little smaller, kids will also enjoy the N-Strike Barricade RV-10 Blaster. The semi-automatic motorized blaster works like a revolver, holding 10 darts when fully loaded. I put a few suction cup darts through the unit and found the accuracy to be amazing. The blasters are also light enough to use one in each hand, giving kids a lot of targeting flexibility.

Nerf also was showing off their first automatic blaster in the Dart Tag line. The Dart Tag Swarmfire Blaster is very impressive, launching 20 darts in automatic mode in just a few seconds. I quickly loaded up the mannequin’s Dart Tag shirt with a satisfactory dozen or so darts.

The Stampede ECS is available now with an MRSP of $49.99, the Barricade RV-10 and Swarmfire will be available this spring for $14.99 and $29.99 respectively.
