Hasbro Ji Ga Zo Sepia Puzzle [Toy Fair 2011]

Written on Feb 19, 2011 by Brian and filed under Hasbro

Put this little gem from Hasbro in the totally unexpected category. While we always expect to see a series of games, several with tech advances, from Hasbro, the Ji Ga Zo Sepia puzzle is completely new and very cool. Kids use the included software to print a puzzle code. Using the 300 Ji Ga Zo puzzle pieces, they then assemble the puzzle upside down. Flip it over and the result is an awesome Sepia-colored portrait.

There are so many great play and gifting angles with the Ji Ga Zo product. First off, the replay value is huge. Assembling the puzzle takes about an hour, so it’s not terribly cumbersome to complete. After the family finishes a kid’s portrait for instance, they can do the family pet the next week or mom or dad. The puzzles also make for fun artwork, so rather than tear it apart, the puzzle can easily be framed or otherwise put on display. Ji Ga Zo also makes for a unique and fun gift either for kids, or even those hard-to-buy-for adults.

Ji Ga Zo is shipping now, with an MSRP of $24.99.
