Beyblade Adds Tops and IR Remote Control [Toy Fair 2011]

Hasbro has added several new products to their Beyblade line, including the new IR Spin Control system, which gives players a new way to control their tops while in action – including giving the top a turbo boost!

The 2011 lineup also includes new tops like the Tornado Top ($7.99), whose design enables these tops to battle with tilt, weave and spin, adding new action to the movements of the top. The Electro-Spin ($9.99) preassembled tops add flashing LED lights that glow based on the speed of the top.

We had the most fun at the demo though, using the new IR Spin Control systems. With the remote, players can move their Beyblade tops left or right and can even give them a power boost to generate more speed during battles. We like letting the top nearly stop, playing dead, then blasting back to life – banging up an unsuspecting opponent. MSRP $29.99

These Beyblade units, along with new battle arenas and Metal Masters tops will all be available this fall.
