Air Swimmers Fly Into Action [Toy Fair 2011]

Written on Feb 15, 2011 by Brian and filed under News

We’re always looking for a few of-beat tech products at Toy Fair, and this year one of our favorites is a line of helium balloons called Air Swimmers. What’s so unique about a balloon you say? Well, these shark and clown fish models are huge for one, and feature an IR remote control that lets kids fly them all over the house!

The two models you see above are the first in what will probably be an expanding line of fun flying creatures. The Air Swimmers are surprisingly agile and very entertaining. If the hoard around their booth is any measure, kids will definitely love these RC balloons.

The Air Swimmers will be sold likely at specialty stores with a suggested retail of $39.99. The good news is they’re refillable, lasting a week or longer on a fill up. There’s also no practical limit on how many you can use at once, so kids can control an entire school of fish. Just make sure the ceiling fans are off, these won’t do well as sushi.
