LeapFrog Tag Junior Now Available

The LeapFrog Tag Junior Reading System that was announced back in January is now shipping for $34.99. The Tag Junior does what the bigger brother Tag Reading System does, just for the younger set who are learning to interact with words. Tag Junior is a chunky unit that is designed for ages 2-4.

Just like the Tag Reading System, Tag Junior works by swiping the reading unit over books that have special ink patterns to let the reading unit know where it is in the story. The junior version requires less accuracy though; toddlers can tap the book with the reader anywhere on the page to have the page read aloud to them.
Nine books are part of the initial release, including favorite characters like Curious George, Dora, Winnie the Pooh and The Backyardigans. Books retail for $10.99 and are made of durable cardboard pages. When parents buy new book, they’ll download the audio files from LeapFrog and transfer them to the reader via PC connection. Tag Junior holds the audio files for up to five books at a time.
Other nice touches include the option to have the reader great kids by name and like much of the LeapFrog lineup, the reader connects to LeaFrog Connect to keep parents updated on the progress of their child.
LeapFrog Tag Junior is available now in green or purple for $34.99 and comes with the book If I Were.
