Mattel’s Holiday Lineup Getting Ready for Release

Mattel used CES to announce and show off a bunch of new kid’s tech toys for the 2009 Holiday shopping season. Then at Toy Fair their other brands like Fisher Price and Matchbox got in on the action. Their toys look so good that the Mattel family of brands took over half the spots in our “Best of Toy Fair 2008” roundup. As summer gets into full swing, it’s about time to start seeing some of these products slip into the market as we prepare for Holiday 2009 shopping.
Our friends at Mattel have starting pitching the release of the Holiday line, the first of which we expect to see is Rocky the Robot Truck. The Fisher Price line of TV games, including the much anticipated update to the Smart Cycle are expected shortly thereafter. And thanks to Amazon, we even have a tentative release date and price for the mind-bending Mattel Mindflex Game, it’s slated for October 1st and $99.99. It’s hard to start thinking about Holiday shopping already, but the new gear is almost upon us and we’ll be doing our best to stay ahead of it with extensive product reviews and coverage.
