6-in-1 Solar Robot Kit

Building kits are fun. Building kits that can make different objects are even better. Best yet are kits that can motor about, especially if the power source is the sun (or bright light bulb). This 6-in-1 kit from Red5 in the UK is not only cool, but actually quite affordable. 

With this self-assembly kit, kids can build a robotic dog, boat, car, windmill or two types of airplane. The kits come with 25 parts that are easy to assemble and the end result are fun toys that help kids not only learn about building but how the sun can power them as well. Not a bad message and a good deal of fun for roughly $21 plus shipping to the US.
