In tune with the movie release, Tyco RC is going to bring three flying Star Trek ships to their lineup. These will be some of the first ever branded RC flight vehicles and they’ve even been cleared for outdoor use, as two of them can reach heights of 70 feet.

There are two types of vehicles, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 and the Klingon Bird-of-Prey will both come in a full flight version, capable of speeds up to 20 miles per hour and heights of 70 feet. The bodies are all foam and include an on-board battery that should yield several minutes of flight time. The battery will charge via a cord from the charger, similar to helicopters and other vehicles of this nature. These two models will be available in April for $39.99 and are recommended for ages 8 and up.

For those seeking a more basic version, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 will also come in a glider mode that’s designed for indoor use only. While this model still has propulsion, the controls are not as sophisticated as the other two. Also available in April, the glider will retail for $29.99.
