New LeapFrog Zippity Video

LeapFrog now has a product page live for the Zippity, which was announced this week. On that page they have a few short videos of kids using a beta version of the hardware and software. It’s pretty early, but kids appear to move around a good deal when playing with Zippity, so the promise of an active gaming experience for kids 3-5 is likely legitimate.
The brief bits of the game video that are available look pretty good as well, something kid’s game console systems typically struggle with. Our biggest concerns now center on the durability of the game pad and joystick, and how well it will work on carpet. We’ll report back when we get hands on with production units.
Hit the Zippity micro site to see all four videos. Zippity will sell for $79.99 when it comes out this summer, with software selling for $24.99. Zippity launch coverage is available here.
