HEXBUG Ant Announced – 10 Times Faster Than Other HEXBUGS

HEXBUG has announced an extension to their robotic bug lineup with the HEXBUG Ant, a speedy six-wheeled autonomous robotic creature. The Ant works much like the HEXBUG Crab, running about on his own while using sensors to avoid objects, all for under $10.
The big difference with the Ant though is the speed improvement. The Ant is supposed to be 10 times faster than any other HEXBUG. That’s surprising as the Inchworm moved about pretty quickly. Either way, like the other models the Ant features a translucent hard plastic body to protect the inner-workings and like the Crab it has sensors in the front and rear so he can avoid objects. The Ant also has long tactile antennas and hooked claws to complete the look.
HEXBUG Ant Vitals
- Length: 6 centimeters
- Width: 5 centimeters
- Height: 2.5 centimeters
- Weight: .044 lb
- Five translucent colors: Red, Green, Blue, Orange and Pink
HEXBUG Ant will be on display at Toy Fair starting this weekend and will be available in five different colors exclusively from Radio Shack this spring for $9.99.
