Fisher Price announced two creative play solutions at Toy Fair, designed for easy plug and play setup with almost any TV. My Toon TV lets kids put themselves into a cartoon and Splatter Brush lets kids create with a wireless paint brush on their TV. Both sets are due out in June.
My Toon TV
Kids can turn themselves into a cartoon character and then perform on TV alongside their new personalized character. To get going kids use the built in camera to take a picture of themselves or a friend, then they choose from 11 funny characters to mesh their image with. After that, they’ll get to see their personalized character dance on screen while the kids also dance on screen thanks to the integrated camera. My Toon TV includes 5 on-board songs or use the auxiliary plug-in to play your own favorites from any music device (CD, MP3 player, etc). The role play “microphone” adds a light feature and acts as the remote to switch characters and capture pictures. My Toon TV really expands on the popular Playskool Dance Cam, adding much more functionality and likely entertainment as well.
My Tune TV is designed for ages 3 and up and due out in June at a suggested retail of $69.99.
Splatter Brush
Splatter Brush is an interactive plug & play system with a base and a wireless brush, which controls action on the TV. Splatter Brush has three play modes. First, there are 8 themed worlds, each with unique paint brushes, stampers and special effects. Paint with spaghetti, draw with whipped cream or splat an animated bat. Second, create fun colorful works of art with the virtual spin art feature. Finally is the splat arcade with three fun games. Built in save and print features let kids keep their works. Requires 4 AA batteries for base unit and 3 AAA batteries for the Splatter Brush, not included.
Splatter Bursh is designed for ages 3-8 and due out in June at a suggested retail of $54.99.
