Designed for kids 3 and up, LeapFrog’s Text & Learn is a learning PDA. The unit will feature games that focus on spelling and basic computer skills. When they need help, kids can rely on Scout, an on-board helper and virtual pet friend. Preschoolers can also exchange text messages with Scout, check Scout’s planner and explore in a pretend browser mode. Other learning activities include letter matching, shape identification and QWERTY keyboard navigation.

Pricing and availability have not been announced, though we expect full details next week.
