Hannah Montana for LeapFrog Didj Released

Written on Nov 12, 2008 by Brian and filed under LeapFrog, News

LeapFrog has released Hannah Montana, a new game for the Didj portable learning gaming system. This is the first Hannah Montana branded learning game in the industry. The game features math, spelling, time management and vocabulary educational elements and is designed for 3rd to 5th graders.

The game starts with Miley Stewart being excited about performing as her alter-ego Hannah Montana in a concert next weekend. Her dad will only let her go however if she passes the big test on Friday. If she studies hard for the next four days, she’s sure to ace it. As an added incentive, her dad has set up a Star Points allowance for her. If she does well in her studies, he’ll add funds. Save up Star Points by playing mini-games and solving puzzles; then help Miley shop for outfits and accessories for her big concert.

Beyond the built-in content, Hannah Montana can be customized for a child’s own unique schoolwork, such as weekly spelling words or multiplication tables. And like LeapFrog’s Tag Reader and Leapster2, Hannah Montana on the Didj platform can connect to the online Learning Path, so parents gain insight into how their child is using the game, with specific feedback on what they are learning and what milestones are on the horizon.

Availability

Hannah Montana for Didj is available now for a retail price of $29.99.

Game Features

Miley’s Planner: The game is centered around Miley’s Daily Planner, which organizes her busy schedule. Check your progress with games and monitor your growing concert allowance.

Planner Puzzles: The puzzles are based on math-in-action word problems related to Miley’s busy life and let you earn Star Points to add to the concert allowance. The puzzles focus on time management and scheduling.

Text Mess-up: Help Miley handle her inbox, full of text messages from her friends. Problem is, the messages are filled with nonsensical words. Use vocabulary skills to help Miley decipher the messages and earn Star Points.

Math Moves: Help Miley practice her dance moves and study for her math test at the same time. The more quickly you answer and the more complex the dance moves, the better your score.

Musical Spelling: Studying spelling is more fun done with a song. Help Miley collect fast-moving stars on a chalkboard, selecting the correct letters to spell the word and spelling as many as you can and collecting Star Points.

Miley’s Room: Choose from four hit songs on Miley’s jukebox to listen to while you try on outfits in Hannah’s Secret Room, check out your daily progress and game stats, practice your customized spelling list on Miley’s laptop and more.
