VTech has announced that the V-Motion Active Learning System is now shipping. V-Motion is a console system that connects to the TV and features learning games designed for kids age 3-7. Similar to consoles aimed at an older audience, kids interact with V-Motion with motion-activated, intuitive wireless controller that is adaptable for right and left-handed play.
Out of the gate, eight V-Motion Smartridges as they’re called, are available now. Some of kid’s favorite franchises are represented including Kung Fu Panda, WALL-E, Thomas & Friends, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Dora the Explorer. V-Motion also ships with the “Action Mania” Smartridge. Four additional titles will be released in the coming months.
Each game encourages active gaming and teaches skills such as basic math, reading, science, spelling, problem-solving, shapes, colors, matching, logic and more. In addition to the action-packed Smartridge game play, V-Motion includes the V.Link (USB drive) that connects kids to VTech’s secure online site to unlock bonus games and track their scores against other gamers.
V-Motion is now available for a retail price of US$69.99 and comes in both blue and pink. V-Motion Smartridges are also available for an estimated retail price of US$24.99 each.
