LeapFrog has announced a new partnership with Lucasfilm for enducational games developed for the Leapster2 and Didj platforms. The new Leapster2 game, Star Wars: Jedi Math, and the two new titles for Didj, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull are available now.
Star Wars: Jedi Math
Designed for the Leapster2, Jedi Math lets kids go on rescue missions as Anakin, R2-D2, C3PO and other jedi knights to free members of the Republic imprisoned on federation cruisers and increase your jedi ranking. Fly to enemy ships, engage in starflight battles and duel with light sabers while learning basic mathematics and telling time skills. The game retails for $24.99 and is compatible with Leapfrog’s online services.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker have just learned that a powerful new droid weapon is being built that would give the Separatists the winning advantage. Join these Jedi knights as they race against time to stop what would almost certainly be a fatal blow to the Republic and the Jedi Order! Recommended for ages 6-9 and retails for $29.99.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
It’s a jungle out there and Indy’s in the thick of it! Join Indiana Jones and his sidekick Mutt in a non-stop adventure based on the new film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. When the two heroes brave a Peruvian cemetery to find the legendary Crystal Skull, they inadvertently let it fall into the wrong hands. Now they must locate the skull and restore it to its rightful resting place – before it’s too late. Earn points as you play to customize the game with special attacks and cinematic sound effects, and choose the math skills you need to know for school. Recommended for ages 7-10 and retails for $29.99.
Two More Titles Underway
LeapFrog has extended its educational game development agreement with Lucas Licensing for the development of two additional 2009 educational game titles: one based on the classic Star Wars movie trilogy and another Star Wars: The Clone Wars title. These new learning games also will be designed for play on LeapFrog’s Leapster2 and Didj handhelds.
